Maintenance
Your network is an ever-changing environment, so we have over 45 standard maintenance functions that we perform on a regular basis (daily, monthly, bi-annually, bi-monthly, annually) to ensure your network continues to be compatible with itself, and the outside world.
Patching
In order for Operating Systems to stay up to date with current technologies, small updates are released by the manufacturers.  These updates (called patches) are often used to patch newly found security holes but they can also improve the stability of the software or remove outdated features.  We make sure these patches are applied on time and that they have not caused any errors.  Additionally, when patches are unable to be applied automatically, we will manually patch your devices, ensuring servers, workstations and all devices are fully patched.

Backup test restore
We regularly perform a Test Restore on your backup data to ensure the backups are intact, and usable during a recovery. The results of each test restore can be viewed in your portal.

Software upgrades
Backup software, antivirus software and firewall software are three products critical to your network security, and as such should always be kept up to date. Whenever a full software upgrade for each of these products is released, and the version is deemed stable, we will deploy the upgrade.

Firmware updates
Firmware is hard-coded software on the memory of a device that provides the necessary instructions for how the device communicates with other hardware and how secure the communication is.  Most devices on your network has firmware of some sort, and most require updating from time to time.  We keep all of these devices up to date, including servers, firewalls, NAS appliances, switches, access points and others.

Firewall updates
As part of our security best practice, we regularly check your open ports list for changes, check your firewall rules for changes and update the security definitions. This ensures your border is as secure as possible.
